A rare and museum-worthy parure from one of mid-century America's most celebrated costume jewellers.
This exquisite bracelet and clip earrings set is attributed to Joseph Mazer (Jomaz), crafted circa 1950 as part of his celebrated Empress Josephine collection — a line inspired by the opulence of Napoleonic France and the jewels of the Imperial court.
The set is executed in gold-tone rope-twist chain link — a hallmark of Mazer's architectural craftsmanship — inlaid with deep navy blue enamel and encrusted with pavé-set clear crystal rhinestones. The interplay of the twisted gold rope, midnight enamel, and brilliant crystals creates a dramatic, regal effect entirely in keeping with the Empress Josephine aesthetic.
- Bracelet: Wide, articulated link bracelet with secure box clasp; substantial and wearable
- Earrings: Matching clip-on earrings in the same rope-twist and enamel design; one pair features a crescent/scroll form, the second a domed shell form
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Crystals bright and secure. Enamel intact with minor age-appropriate patina consistent with a 70+ year old piece. Clasp functions perfectly.
A true collector's investment piece. Wearable art from the golden age of American costume jewellery.
